Is it because all those lazy liberal slackers are sending their pennies to Obama? Why aren’t the rich republicans amassing wealth for McCains campaign?
Because “Rich Republicans” is a liberal Myth. Most of the Wealth in this country belongs to the Democrats. Who are the Richest people in this country. Soros, Gates, Winfrey, Buffet…all Dems my friend.
Republican voters are upset over the way Bush handled the job and are not going to give to McCain. The bad economy isn’t helping McCain either.
My parents have donated the max allowed to every Republican presidential candidate since Nixon. McCain isn’t getting a dime from them. Not because of who McCain is or what he represents, but because of Dubya.
Because except for some corporate special interests, there are no rich Republicans. And they aren’t going to send McCain much because they know he’s going to lose–so there’s no point in investing the money to buy him off. And the largest part of Obama’s funding is coming from average people in small amounts. They are supporting Obama because they are sick and tired of the Republican lies and corruption–and the fact that the Republican politicians are nothing but bought and paid for representatives of some special interests, not the American people.
Liberals, on th eother hand, don’t have to depend on a few rich doners–they earn MORE on average than conservatives (not an opinion–go look up the statistics).
Many Republicans feel they have had little or no choice and see McCain as too moderate. Yet they voted down Romney and others. As for Obama’s finances every liberal, leftwinger and malcontent is contributing to his campaign. George Soros and his ilk have the Democratic Party by the short hairs. It is no longer the party of the people and Rush Limbaugh has hit the nail right on the head. With leaders like Pelosi and Read heading the legislative bodies, what have you seen coming to help America? Not ONE DAMN THING!!
Part of it is because people have been donating money to the RNC instead of directly to McCain. The RNC had over 53.6 million in the bank in May and the DNC only had about 4. McCain raised 25 million last month and Obama had about 40. So, total money McCain could use was 78 million compared to Obama’s 44.
Another reason McCain hasn’t been raising as much is because he has been the presumptive nominee for a long time. Obama just secured his nomination. Once the general election begins their donations will be completely different than they are currently.
Union thugs extort exorbitant salaries, mostly from US Auto Industry, Ports, Steel, Nurses, and of course Public Employees (cops, teachers, prison guards, fire fighters etc.)
Then these same union thugs extort exorbitant dues and fees from their union members
Then they pool all this extorted cash (much of which is taxpayer money taken from unionized public employees), and form corrupt political action committees (PAC’s)
These scam PAC’s can then funnel cash into liberal campaigns and politicians who promise to expand left wing union activities.
For example, candidates that spend money on: mass transit, (buss drivers are union) education (teachers are union) and general government expansion on typical riff-raff cubical sludge workers (public employees are union) the union rewards these candidates by funneling cash to their campaign though these corrupt PAC’s
Most of Obama’s money is funded by taxpayers, who pay union scale salaries to union “civil servants” who then have PAC money deducted from their checks – pretty good scam !
