I need help with some fund raising ideas that won’t cost anything in advance?
I work at an assisted living facility and we are going to be in the alzheimers memory walk and I am the team captian (something I have never done) and I have to think of some fundraising ideas and could really use your help.

check the religion section. They’ve been soliciting funds for centuries.
When in doubt, go to the pros.

Have a garage sale. It doesn’t cost anything and you can get rid of all of you junk. I made a ton of money when I had mine.

Silent auction. Get local businesses to donate goods or services and have a silent auction. Get a restaurant to donate the facility and make an evening of it. Raffles are always good too. Again getting businesses to donate everything. Good luck.

You could go to a local pizza shop, ask them if you could fundraise at their place. If they say yes, ask them if they would donate %15 of what they make that day to your cause.
Then what you do is pass out flyers to people, telling them to come to “______ pizza shop” on a certain day and time. For instance, Tuesday, August 20 from 5-8. Also, on the flyer write “Mention this fundraising ad to your waiter, and %15 of your check will be donated to (yourcause)”. A lot of people do this, and it works.

One good thing I’ve found, if you have a few dollars, is to go buy a couple ingredients (you don’t even need that much at first) and make some cookies. Once you sell them, you will have enough money to buy some more ingredients, plus a little more left over. The more you do this, the more that little extra begins to grow, and you can get even more ingredients to make more cookies and make even more money! Soon, you start a bake sale! Go ahead and try it.

you always have to spend alittle to make money, even for fund raisers.
you could try a bake sale, that’s pretty much the cheapest way to go. get a bunch of people to donate baked goods and sale them in a busy location, department store, grocery store etc…you’ll need permission prior to setting up any fund raising stand.
you could try contacting business and ask them to donate items for a raffle. which you’ll have to buy tickets for the raffle or make up your own. you can get raffle tickets in rolls of 100 or so at your local party supply store.
if you could get a business to sponsor you in a car wash. you provide the labor, buckets, soap & sponges and they provide the water source and parking lot.
have a community yard sale, ask people to donate items for your cause and find a good location to have it. you might try contacting your local newpaper to see if they will advertise the sale for you for free.
those were all ideas to do prior to your alzheimers memory walk, during your walk at your team booth, sale lemmonaid to everyone there.
good luck!!!
