How to fund raise?
Hey
I want to raise some money for a friend’s breast reconstruction. She recently got over breast cancer. How do I start? Do I have to register a charity? Please any advice is appreciated! Even if anyone knows where she can apply for funding! Thank you so much. Answer need to be related to UK only.

Maybe find a place that is willing to have a benefit. During the benefit maybe do a silent auction ( anything from body works to anything you think people would want to bid on ). Ask locals, bands and so on if they are willing to help and donate money.
Something like this was done for me for other reasons and the amount of money raised was overwhelming

contact a local radio station & see if they can help set something up. email her friends & see if they want to contribute. my sister & i did that with my mom’s friends. she’s got stage 4 cancer and is unable to travel, so i emailed all her friends to help raise money to bring my mom’s aunt & cousin here from California. we got GREAT responses. within 2 hours of sending my email, i got FIFTEEN responses, and we’ve raised enough to pay for their plane tickets, hotel & a rental car. a lot of people want to help, but don’t know what to do. this would give them a way to help.
