How can I get national coverage for a Fund Raiser Event?
I am raising money for a non-profit organization in my small town of Osgood Indiana to throw a music festival. Starting Feb 1st I will be living outside in the 20 degree weather with a sofa and my guitar to collect donations. I will not go home until I raise $50,000 for my cause.

get the non-profit agency to send out press releases and media advisories. this way it will come from a legit source and i’ve never heard of osgood, indiana, so it will probably be the lead story on the local news! good luck and bundle up!

Ask friends and family to also contact local media sources. These local sources may escalate your story to the national level, especially if you are doing something a bit crazier or trying to collect a larger amount of money or if you are getting close to your goal.
