Have a disco, or a cake sale, and some sort of raffle

My church had a “teen night” once a month. We’d get a band or two (helps the local high school musicians too) and charged $4 to get in. Money was split with the bands, plus we sold soda and chips. Adult volunteers chaperoned the events. Lot’s of fun and worked out great.
If you’re interested, I can put you in touch with the youth leader who ran the program.

Buy a bunch of pink flamingos and put them in yards of the church members. Charge so much a flamingo to have them removed. Let the Church know ahead of time. Or you could hire out the kids to members to clean or paint or do other odd jobs around their houses.

We did a car wash where we washed all the cars of the people while they were at church. A trivia night is always fun where people come along and pay a small entry fee. You could also auction off items donated by people or even services offered by people (ie someone to mow the lawns or cook you dinner or clean the house etc). We also had a bush dance which was SO MUCH FUN!!! All ages can join in!

It depends on what kind of fundraising you want to do. If you don’t want to shell out money to MAKE money, the best route to take is a catalog fundraiser. With May approaching, breast cancer awareness month is around the corner and Pampered Chef, the company I work with is donating $1 per product they sell to the American Cancer Society. 15% of total product sales go to your organization as well. Think about it this way, if you have 50 people selling the products thru the catalog and they each generate $200 in sales, you have a total of $10,000 which means $1500 for the organization you’re raising money for. Not bad considering you don’t have to shell out a dime. If you need more details, you may contact me at
